The Bank of Cape Fear was based in Wilmington, North Carolina and had branches located in Ashville, Fayetteville, Greensboro, Raleigh, Salem, Salsbury and Washington, North Carolina. The Bank of Cape Fear issued some 55 different varieties of banknotes. This number does not include the fact that some banknote varieties were issued at multiple branches.
